Barry Ronan, one of the first Ross Celtic players in the late '60s and who was on the winning Wexford Cup Team of '68. Also associated with the club in those early days were Brian Walshe, Bill Oliver, the Franeys and Dan Quigley.

Fr. Jackie McCabe came to New Ross in 1969, and in 1970 -74 and played for Ross Celtic in what was then known as right full-back. At that time the club played in the Waterford League.
